This series documents the work of the Establishment Subcommittee of the Finance Committee, including meetings and replies to questions in relation to consideration of government proposals for the creation, redeployment and deletion of posts, and changes to the structure of Civil Service grades and ranks.
Among the subjects covered by the records are the establishment, deletion and retention of Directorate posts and creation of new ranks.
The types of documents contained in the files include agenda, minutes, memoranda, information notes, letters and reports.
