Scope and Content

The records comprising this series relate to the work of subcommittees set up by the House Committee excluding those relating to subsidiary legislation and other instruments. They cover the organization of meetings, submissions and representations by outside bodies, and reports.
Among the subjects covered by the series are financing the airport core programme, mandatory provident fund, Urban Renewal Authority, organized and serious crime, copyright, securities and futures, human organ transplant, and formation of a new Panel on the provision of municipal services.
Among the types of documents contained in the records are agenda, notes of meetings, reply slips, transcripts of meetings, memoranda, reports, extracts from minutes of House Committee meetings and Legislative Council briefs.
Records relating to subcommittees formed by the House Committee to consider subsidiary legislation and other instruments are included in LAS 37: Records Relating to Subcommittees on Subsidiary Legislation and Other Instruments.
