The records in this series relate to the activities of the House Committee of the Legislative Council. It also includes records relating to the work and activities of the In-house meetings of UMELCO and later OMELCO and the Legislative Council In-house meetings prior to the establishment of the House Committee in 1992.

The records cover discussion of bills, adjournment debates, questions to be asked at Council meetings, arrangements for visits and functions, formation of Panels and subcommittees, reports from ad hoc groups, Bills Committees and Panels.
